The Crew during the paint party-Summer of '09
During the summer we spent a lot of time, money and effort on:

Scraping, painting and caulking entire house and porch
-
Purchasing high efficiency appliances (washer, dryer, dehumidifier, stove)
-
Insulating the attic
-
Repairing the driveway to accomodate another spot (new gravel/sand)
We expect the insulation and efficient appliances to give us a payback in the long run with energy savings.

With an influx of largely all new house members this year also came a shift in momentum at the Goodrich Club. The incoming members and the few members that remained from the prior year bonded over the mutual desire to clean and fix up the Club, as it had been particularly “lived in” over the previous years (understatement!)

08-09 school year
· Repaired front and back porch steps
· Painted front porch
· Gotten all new used couches
· Painted several rooms
· Replaced the water main
· Re-insulated the house
· Thoroughly cleaned basement
Repaired the pipes in the upstairs bathroom
Upcoming
Projects
and Repairs
include:
· Deep Freezer
· Replace several older windows
· Replace eaves troughs
· Electrical re-wiring
· Repair woodwork and floor in “Estelle’s quarters”
We, as members of the house, plan on doing the majority of these projects ourselves, and earnestly want to make improvements. *We are fortunate to have the guidance of Goodrich alum Ken Shenstone, who helps facilitate our house projects and finances, and generally oversees operations.
